Friday night after clinic we made it back to Antigua for the last weekend of our rotation. We opted to stay in a hostel this weekend as it was only $25 a night. We were super tired that night so we went upstairs to the restaurant, and then ran back down to watch tv until we fell asleep. 😂Â
The next morning we got up at 6 am to hike the Pacaya volcano.Â
Even our days off we didn't relax! The hike was about an hour to the top and a little less back down. Â
At the top we got to roast marshmallows in a hot spot on the volcano. They were actually pretty good. The volcano last erupted in 2014 and still has occasional bursts.Â
The afternoon we spent doing some last minute shopping in the city. We got a fancy dinner and got ready for our trip back to the US.Â
